Straight Stair Lifts and Ceiling Track Systems

Because stair lifts and Ceiling Track Systems are custom designed for each project, returns are not accepted. If your order has been processed by Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. and an order has been placed with the manufacturer, you will be charged a 25% cancellation fee. If your track is in stock, and has not been cut and you wish to cancel, the fee is $250.

Curved Stair Lifts and other Custom Manufactured Equipment

Each curved stair lift must be custom manufactured to suit the unique requirements of the site. The unit is manufactured to the exact dimensions of the site application as determined by our measurements, drawings and/or a digital survey and no two applications are alike. Stairlifts go into factory production immediately upon submission of the order to the factory which is after our customer signs off on a drawing depicting the path of the stair lift in the home.

Accordingly, Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. has a substantial investment in resources and labor and as such we have a 25% cancellation fee for any order cancelled after the measurement survey but prior to submission for production, and a 60% cancellation fee once the lift is in production. Once a custom stair lift order has been shipped it cannot be canceled or returned. The shipment cannot be refused. No refund will be made for orders of this status.

This statement is true for all custom made equipment provided by Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. including, but limited to, custom curved stairlifts

Buy Back Policy

Occasionally Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. may be interested in buying back equipment from customers. If Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. finds that equipment might be valuable for resale, then the offer will be 10% percent of the original cost of materials only (tax, shipping, and installation costs are not applicable).  We do not buy back items such as slings because there are hygienic concerns.

Warranty

All of the equipment Lift and Transfer Specialists Inc. sells is covered by the appropriate Manufacturer Warranty. Labor is covered by a one-year warranty with the exception of equipment misuse or lifting weight outside the parameters of the manufacturer warranty. Please consult the Manufacturer Warranty given to you at the time of the installation completion for further details. Batteries are only covered under warranty for 3 months due to the uncertain nature of their performance.
